HOPE stands for Health Opportunities for People Everywhere. Project HOPE delivers health education, medicines, medical supplies and volunteer help glboally where needed. They've been in Haiti for over a decade and have infrastructure currently in place and are already providing medical care to the Haitians. Project HOPE has a reputation for financial integrity and efficiency and are highly transparent (annual and audit report on their website). More than 90 percent of their expended resources support life saving health projects around the world.

This project is also an experiement in the power of social networking for good. You can contribute here and also build your own site (if you like) to reach out to your peers to provide them a forum for helping. This allows many people to give amounts as small as $10 or as much as they like - and compound the impact. Stephanie and I are particularly drawn to HOPE's model as we've traveled extensively to-, lived in developing countries and know the impact that this established program can make. My father also serves on Project Hope's board and has helped them explore innovative ways to magnify their ability to continue doing good. See the below 1/22 update on their current activities in Haiti and please support them and spread the word. The Haiti-dedicated support box is at the bottom of the page (scroll down).

Thank you,

Adam and Stephanie

Follow in the Footsteps of Nelson Mandela - Help Families in South Africa

In April 2009, Project HOPE expanded its health care and education programs in South Africa. A country with little income and even less opportunity for modern health care, South Africa is a place where the support of HOPE's generous donors makes a significant difference for communities with the greatest needs.
