Care for Haiti

I am sure that many of you have already given to causes that support the people in need in Haiti in the wake of such a devastating earthquake.

But it could be that like me, you are careful about who you send money to and the legitimacy of the organization.

Project HOPE is a wonderful organization that I learned about from a friend of a colleague who serves our country as a volunteer with many important organizations. Their MISSION is to deliver health education, medicines, medical supplies and volunteer help where needed.

Project HOPE was founded on the willingness of doctors, nurses and other medical volunteers to travel the globe on a floating hospital ship - the SS HOPE- in a unique partnership with the U.S. Navy to provide medical care, health education and humanitarian assistance to people in need. Thousands of medical professional donate their time each year to help those in need of medical care.

The volunteer medical professionals are currently in Haiti aboard the SS Comfort, providing critical medical support to many of the injured.

If you are willing and able to give to this cause, I highly recommend supporting this organization. Your contributions will be used to purchase much needed medical supplies for disbursement in Haiti.
